SARRACOSIAN BEEF TRIO

Inspired by the warriors of Saracos, this simple meal delivers high-quality protein, nourishing greens, and slow-burning carbohydrates to fuel training, recovery, and leadership.

Ingredients

The Beef

  • 600g diced beef steak
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

The Greens

  • 300g broccoli or 2 bunches broccolini

The Carbs

  • 2 cups cooked white or brown rice

Choose Your Warrior Seasoning

Spice Mix I — Smoked Warrior

  • 1 tbsp sweet smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and cracked pepper

Spice Mix II — Tuscan Steel

  • 1 tbsp Tuscan seasoning blend
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and cracked pepper

Spice Mix III — Texan Fire

  • 1 tbsp Texan-style BBQ dry rub
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and cracked pepper

Method

Prepare

  1. Preheat oven to 160°C.
  2. Line a baking tray with baking paper.

Season

  1. Divide the beef into three equal portions.
  2. Coat each portion with a different spice mix, ensuring every piece is evenly covered.

Cook

  1. Spread beef across the tray.
  2. Bake for approximately 20 minutes, turning halfway through cooking.
  3. Watch closely to avoid overcooking.

Prepare Sides

  1. Steam broccoli or broccolini until tender.
  2. Cook rice using a rice cooker, stovetop, or microwave.

Serve

  1. Plate rice first.
  2. Add broccoli.
  3. Top with the three seasoned beef varieties.

Optional:

  • Hoisin sauce
  • Garlic yogurt sauce
  • Mustard dill sauce
  • BBQ sauce
